Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I am Nobuhiro Akao, manager of Bridge Engineer Co., Ltd. And I am an aircraft engineer and I have been involved in structural design and strength analysis work for 20 years.
Let me ask you a question to start with. Do you know what is happening or is going to happen in the aircraft industry?
Aircraft market is growing. And this is supported by governments. The growth is 4.1% from 2017 to 2022. / Narrow body aircraft is growing faster than wide body aircraft, and will be worth US$170 billion in end 2022, / worth-while for all the stakeholders.
Our company is small, but we are in this kind of growing and promising market. We have been doing design and strength analysis of aircraft a long time which is important for aircraft for aircraft manufacturing. At the same time, we design of automobile, and semiconductors, liquid crystal television and special equipment.
Taking advantage of our experience, we have an educational program / based on our experience and wish to provide our knowledge to employees and outside engineers. I believe that it is our mission to send our excellent Japanese engineers overseas and pass technology on to next generation. Reflected in our company name , Bridge Engineer. It is an exciting motivation to produce engineers who can be active in the world.
Currently, our strength analysis team is participating in a regional jet development project and is in charge of structural analysis of wing slats. The slat is a device that generates lift when an aircraft takes off and lands. Slats extend forward from the main wing. It is a flap extending backwards of the main wing.
An aircraft fuselage and main wing does not move, but slats and flaps are movable. Therefore it is necessary (a special structure design and analysis) is given to these parts.
Our team has been in charge of the structural strength analysis of fixed leading edge, slat and flap in a regional jet development project for eight years.
We have two veteran engineers with more than twenty years’ experience, one middle engineer of 10 years and one young engineer. They make a special team for stress analysis of high left device.
We have worked with Japanese aircraft manufacturer and we are preparing to enter into overseas aircraft industry. So we have been actively preparing for English education in our company. This is our original English textbook for engineer. This text contains a lot of our experience.
